Making your library work for you.
We are members of CUPE 2202 -- librarians, library technicians, library assistants and
maintenance workers.
A lending library has been part of Kingston's history since 1812. Although different from its
predecessors, today's public library offers you materials in every format from books, magazines
and newspapers to CDs, DVDs, audio books, e-books, digital magazines, downloadable music
and e-resources. We also offer information support, computer access and much, much more --
and it's all free!
Your library provides the community with a wide range of outreach services, from classroom
visits to resources for shut-ins. Many varied programs for children, youth and adults are
offered throughout the year.
Library staff can help you with new technology by providing guidance and tutorials on many
computer applications.
The library provides much needed Internet access to our rural communities and urban centres.
Your library is a community hub where everyone is welcome.
Library workers are members of your community.
We strive to give you the best service possible by helping you find the information you need to
help enrich your daily life. We want to continue to provide high quality service.
Public library workers make your library work for you!
Celebrate Earth Day. Enjoy your CUPE 2202 tote!
